Inspired By: Annie from Community

Do you guys watch the TV show Community? If not, you should! It has great characters, fun plot lines, and it is hilarious. This week is the beginning of season 3 and I’m excited.

Every episode I look forward to see what the character Annie is going to wear. She always looks classy and sweet without being boring. Here are some examples of her outfits.

Some things I love about her outfits:

The way sometimes wears her cardigans buttoned up. I always use mine to throw over a shirt, but it is cute to wear it buttoned up with a tank underneath and maybe a scarf or necklace over it.

Her simple accessories. It is hard to tell from these pictures, but she almost always wears a simple pendant necklace and a cute watch. She keeps it sweet, feminine, and not too over the top.

Her use of skirts and dresses. It can be easier sometimes to want to just throw on a pair of jeans and a top and call it a day. But skirts and dresses can make you look more girly and put together, but can be just as comfortable as pants. She has a lot of neutral pencil skirts which can pretty much go with anything.

Are you inspired by Annie’s style? Who is someone that inspires you lately?

  1. I love her dress in the 5th picture. The pattern is so punchy and the ruffles at the hemline are so fun. I’ll have to check that show out ๐Ÿ˜‰ There are several artists on etsy that are inspiring me creatively at the moment; are you on etsy by any chance?

    • I’m not on etsy at the moment. But I am considering selling some of my crocheted things. What type of products would you like to see?

      • I’m very interested in hats (and scarves)! That is so cool that you crochet. My step-grandma tried teaching me last summer, but I was too ambitious and tried to do a blanket and got so frustrated that after awhile I gave up. I also love those little amigurumi animals.

  2. I love this show! Also, I only have a black and brown cardigan here at school. Aside from buying more, what can I wear with them to diversify their uses? (…I suppose I could button it from time to time!) ๐Ÿ™‚

    • So here are my ideas when it comes to wearing cardigans, rach:
*Wear one with a contrasting color top. Example: a bright top under the black cardigan or a black top under your brown cardigan. (I LOVE black and brown together)
*Wear one with a similar color top. Example: a tan top under your brown cardigan.
*Over a button down. This can be as dressy or casual as you want. You can pair one with a plain white button down, a solid colored one, or even a casual plaid one. For an ultra layered look wear both the cardigan and button down open over a top.
*Wear it buttoned up with a necklace or scarf in coordinating colors over it. For necklaces I am thinking a nice strand or pearls or even some long gold chains
*Over a dress or top with a belt. Put the belt over your rib cage slightly below the bustline for a nice cinched in look.

That’s what I got for now. If you need any pictures or have any more questions let me know! ๐Ÿ™‚

  6. I don’t know, why women think jeans and t-shirt is easy…there is so much more to chose from! which shirt, with which cardi and what kind of accessories…the possibilites are endless…for me the easiest way to dress is a wearing a dress..you just throw it over and et voila instant feminity!
